City of Fullerton Launches Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program

The City of Fullerton is set to roll out its Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) program, providing financial relief to eligible residents struggling with rental costs. The initiative will offer rental reimbursement payments for a 12-month period, with an option for an additional 12-month renewal*. This program aims to assist seniors, military veterans, and households that spend more than 30% of their gross monthly income on rent.

Under the program’s guidelines, eligible rents must adhere to the Fair Market Rate, and participating households must have incomes below 30% of the median income for Orange County.

Application Process

Residents interested in the TBRA program can access interest forms from April 28th to May 12th, 2025. The forms can be filled out in various formats, including online submissions or in person at City Hall, where paper forms will be available on the basement floor.
