New Albany man accused of murdering his brother said he ‘was in fear for his life’

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A New Albany man told witnesses he fatally shot his brother earlier this week because the 24-year-old was trying to rob him.

That’s according to court documents that detail interviews with witnesses after Antonio Bautista was gunned down by 19-year-old Andreas Bautista in a New Albany neighborhood Tuesday evening.

It happened in the area of Wolfe Trace, near Lynn Road, which is not far from East Daisy Lane and Grant Line Road. A news release from New Albany Chief Todd Bailey said Andreas Bautista “shot his brother Antonio Bautista during an altercation.”…
