Sixteen people evacuate building in DC after pesticide is suspected to have caused irritation

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Sixteen people evacuated their homes in Southeast following a hazmat incident on Friday morning, officials said.

In a post on X just before 8 a.m., DC Fire and EMS Department responded to the 2600 block of Bowen Rd. SE.

It’s suspected that a pesticide product in a four-story building caused eye and throat irritation.
