PHOENIX — A former security guard of Behavioral Systems Southwest in Phoenix has been sentenced to 13 months in prison for abusing one of the facility’s inmates.
Morris Hibbitt, 51, of Avondale, was sentenced in court on April 14 after he pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a female resident of a reentry center contracted with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The sexual abuse occurred in May 2023 when the defendant was working as the facility’s security supervisor. The victim was residing at Behavioral Systems Southwest as a condition of her incarceration…
