Man Seriously Injured in Shooting at Phoenix QuikTrip, Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Suspect

A man has been left seriously injured following a shooting at a QuikTrip gas station in Phoenix. As reported by KOLD, the incident occurred near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road around 9:40 p.m. last Thursday, where Phoenix police officers found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. The man was then rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

There are still no identified suspects in this case, and police continued working on gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses well into early Friday morning. Phoenix police have called on the public for any information regarding the shooting, with an encouragement to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers. In developments related to the case at the same QT location, a suspect was arrested after a separate shooting earlier this month. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, 27-year-old Tarrance Sykes was detained in Wickenburg after being accused of shooting another man at the gas station on April 10. Court documents reveal Sykes confessed to the police that, following a push from the victim, he shot him.
