The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the man whose body was discovered following a fire near El Rancho Drive in Sparks on Monday, April 14. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Robert McCarthy.
Mr. McCarthy was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency crews extinguished the fire. Authorities have indicated that the cause and manner of his death are currently pending further investigation by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
