BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A gas explosion in Buffalo’s Fruit Belt neighborhood Friday night resulted in $175,000 in damages, officials said.
Fire crews responded to a fire at 167 Orange St. around 7:45 p.m., which officials said was the result of a natural gas leak that ignited, resulting in damage to both the first and second floors.
One resident was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation. Officials estimate $100,000 in damage to the two-story frame structure and an additional $75,000 in damage to the house’s contents.
