Easter weekend to be egg-ceptionally warm in Grand Strand & Pee Dee

(WPDE) — Temperatures are forecast to be warmer than normal for this time of year in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee through the holiday weekend.

An area of high pressure offshore will send warm, southerly air into the Southeast, continuing the trend of warmer-than-usual temperatures.

This area of high pressure will also keep the region dry for Easter weekend. There are no rain chances in the forecast for Saturday or Sunday.

No chance of rain in the forecast this weekend is great for outdoor plans and Spring Break travelers, however, it’s not ideal for the area’s ongoing drought or for the Covington Drive fire.

Saturday begins cool to mild in the upper 50s to low 60s with calm winds and sunny skies. By lunchtime, temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 70s with a breezy but warm southerly wind…
