Governor Kathy Hochul has approved a $16.6 million pavement renewal project across Long Island. According to a statement from the Governor’s office, the initiative will resurface 55 lane miles of roadways, reduce congestion, and improve commuting conditions. The project includes portions of Meadowbrook State Parkway, Sunrise Highway, and State Routes 454, 110, 27, and 106.
With the arrival of warm spring weather, ongoing projects reflect Governor Hochul’s focus on modernizing state infrastructure and improving pedestrian safety.
