Multi-vehicle crash shuts down parts of I-5 in Sacramento, here’s what we know

(FOX40.COM) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Sacramento caused several lane closures and slow moving traffic Friday afternoon, according to the the California Department of Transportation.

Around 3:30 p.m., the Sacramento Fire Department and other agencies responded to a crash that involved three or four vehicles on I-5 southbound near Arena Boulevard. The cause of the crash is unclear, however, one person was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries, according to Sac Fire. A second ambulance is in route for a second patient.
