Terrytown 10-year-old killed Friday trying to cross Behrman Highway, state police say

TERRYTOWN, La. (WVUE) – A 10-year-old boy attempting to cross a state highway with a group of other children Friday night (April 18) was struck and killed by a motorist, Louisiana State Police said.

The victim was identified as Kevin Madrid of Terrytown.

State Police said Madrid was with a group of unsupervised children attempting to cross Louisiana Hwy. 428 (Behrman Highway) near Nile Street around 8:30 p.m. Madrid was the only child who didn’t make it across, as he was struck by a 2012 BMW 750i that was traveling east on the highway…
