2024 murder suspect released from hospital, booked into MDC

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man accused of a murder from September of last year, who police say then fled from them in March, has been booked into MDC after a stay at the hospital. Police believe Julian Garcia killed a man who had just shot and killed Garcia’s uncle.

APD provides update on officer-involved shooting involving 19-year-old

In March, police found him in southwest Albuquerque and attempted to arrest him. They say Garcia ran and was later shot by police after officers saw he had a gun.

Police say several non-lethal rounds had been fired previously before Garcia was shot by an officer with a rifle. Garcia had been in the hospital since his arrest, but APD says he has been released and was booked into MDC on a murder charge…
