EMS dispatcher honored for saving life of man who went into cardiac arrest

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Honolulu Emergency Medical Services paramedic was honored for her work in the field, and as a dispatcher.

On Feb. 8, Kaleolani Souza helped a 55-year old Kaneohe man who went into cardiac arrest.

Souza kept the man’s family calm and activated first responders. Then she talked his loved ones through CPR until help arrived…
