Fire in Summerville neighborhood displaces 4 people

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) – The American Red Cross says it is helping four people displaced by a fire Saturday morning in the Summerville area.

Fire crews responded at approximately 11:35 a.m. to a fire at a home on North Moretto Circle in the Wescott Plantation community, North Charleston Deputy Fire Chief Christan Rainey said.

Investigators say the fire appeared to start in a camper trailer parked next to the home and caught the house on fire.

Two people who were inside the home at the time of the fire were able to get out, Rainey said…
