Columbia City, Carroll boys track shine at North Side relays

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Despite the less-than-ideal weather, some of the best boys track and field athletes in northeast Indiana put their skills to the test at the annual North Side relays on Saturday.

Columbia City and Carroll both had several standouts win events throughout the afternoon. Gavin Good of Columbia City won the 1600- and 3200-meter runs for Columbia City. Meanwhile, sophomore Ryan Baxter finished with the best time in the 110-meter hurdles.

As for Carroll, August Adams finished first in the 300-meter hurdles, while the 4 x 100- and 4 x 800-meter teams each won their respective events.

Columbia City finished third as a team with an overall score of 144, with Carroll finishing in fourth with 129.5 points. North Central (Indianapolis) won the team title with a score of 166, while Warren Central earned runner-up honors…
