Contra Costa DA Charges 11 Alleged Antioch-Pittsburg Gang Members in Multimillion-Dollar Theft Spree

Charges are piling up for a group of individuals tied to an Antioch-Pittsburg gang, following their alleged involvement in a theft spree that’s racked up millions in losses. The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office filed a 33-count felony complaint against eleven members for crimes ranging from conspiracy and grand theft to second-degree robbery.

The thefts targeted stores like Sunglass Hut and vehicles like delivery trucks, tracing a path through Concord, Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Brentwood, Pleasant Hill, Bay Point, and Pittsburg. The alleged crime timeline stretches from September 3, 2024, to April 2. Notable was the March 27 incident, when Robert Crawford and three others were accused of stealing tobacco from a 7-Eleven in Pleasant Hill, quickly only to lose control in a getaway that crashed at a local elementary school.

According to the complaint, this gang didn’t just stealthily lift goods; they brought brazenness to their acts that echoed throughout the Bay Area, with retail thefts, vehicle robberies, and frequent police chases marking their trail. With eight of the individuals already in custody, the community is looking to see if these arrests will put a dent in the gang’s activities…
