Texas Severe Weather Alert: Flash Flood Risk, Hail, and Tornado Threat Near Red River Until 1 PM Sunday

Fort Worth, Texas – A volatile round of severe storms is expected to intensify Saturday evening into early Sunday across North Texas, bringing threats of flash flooding, large hail, and isolated tornadoes from Cisco to Gainesville.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, multiple storm waves will develop late Saturday, with the most dangerous conditions expected between 4 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday. A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1 p.m. Sunday for areas along the Red River, including Bowie, Sherman, and Graham, where rainfall totals could reach 4 to 5 inches.

The highest severe weather risk stretches from Cisco through DFW to Gainesville, where strong storms may produce hail larger than 2 inches and damaging winds above 60 mph.
