Intoxicated woman in pajamas allegedly slaps member of EMS crew who tried to put her on stretcher

A Webster woman was arrested for slapping a member of an EMS crew when he put her on a stretcher to be evaluated for intoxication.

Officers responded to a woman, later identified as 32-year-old Carissa Ann Stone, in the middle of the road on U.S. Highway 27/441 and Miller Street at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.

Upon arrival, the officers observed Stone sitting in the median wearing pajamas. They noticed she was swaying back and forth, struggled to form complete sentences and had glassy eyes. She stated she was just trying to get home and did not want to go anywhere, the report said.

Due to safety concerns, Stone was instructed to move to the sidewalk. She blankly stared at the officers and had to be told numerous times to go to the sidewalk. She could not walk in a straight line and had a hard time not stumbling over her foot, the report said…
