SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento community partnership organization was set to train aspiring leaders in one of the county’s least healthy neighborhoods – but the program’s future is in limbo after critical funding was abruptly cut by the Department of Health and Human Services.
In March, the Sacramento County Department of Health Services received word that around $26 million in federal grants initially allocated by the HHS during the COVID-19 pandemic were being terminated.
