Question: I have a question about who is responsible for covering repairs to my driveway. I live in a single-family home that has an HOA for the neighborhood. One day, I noticed some water coming up between the brick pavers that make up my driveway in front of my house. It wasn’t a gusher or anything but a noticeable flow of water. Plus, the surrounding area of the driveway was dry. It was just near the bottom center of my driveway that water was coming out and running down to the street.
I called the management company for the HOA, and we seemed to agree that it most likely is an irrigation leak. I do not believe it is the irrigation to my house specifically. It seemed to me that the sprinklers all down the street are fed from this line which runs under my driveway. I noticed the sprinklers further down the side of the road being on. Plus, the irrigation system for my house usually didn’t come on at the time I saw the water. The water was flowing from under my driveway for a few hours, then turned off. It later turned on again for some time and hasn’t been flowing for a few days…
