First Alert Forecast: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain Easter Sunday, more rain likely early Monday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – It is hard to believe it, but the Easter holiday has arrived. I wouldn’t say the forecast today would be egg-cellent, but it also won’t be a rotten egg.

Expect the Easter holiday to bring mainly cloudy skies and a slight chance for some rain showers. Plenty of dry times are anticipated for the happy holiday with the best chance for rain existing between the late lunchtime hours into the early evening. By no means do you need to cancel your Easter plans, but keeping the umbrella handy won’t be a terrible idea, just in case. Temperatures will be near normal today in the low 60s for highs and it will be an overall nice day!

The evening will trend mainly dry and cloudy, but heading past midnight keep an eye out because more rain is in the forecast. An advancing cold front will likely bring some showers and a few rumbles of thunder before sunrise tomorrow. A few lingering showers are possible until midday Monday before drying out and turning windy for the afternoon.
