NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Storm Prediction Center has extended a Category 1 Marginal Risk farther eastward to include Henry, Stewart, Benton, west Houston, west Humphreys, and northwest Decatur counties in Tennessee, as well as west Christian and Trigg counties in Kentucky.
A line of storms will be pushing into those areas after midnight, roughly in the 1 am to 3 am time period.
There is a low end threat for damaging winds, hail, downpours, and tornadoes in the Marginal Risk area.
The storms are expected to weaken as they move farther eastward towards Nashville overnight, though they could still produce lightning and thunder and gusty winds, and could make for a wet rush hour commute on Monday morning.
