Chevron is pushing back against a proposed legislative subpoena from the City of Richmond, calling the move “unnecessary and a waste of public resources.”
In a statement provided to Grandview , Chevron said it filed its final 2025 business license paperwork just two weeks ago. It called the proposed subpoena unnecessary, inconsistent with the city’s established process, and unhelpful in advancing the conversation.
“We have been engaged with staff on a process to answer questions they may have and are committed to continuing the conversation. This unwarranted action will only serve to waste time and city resources that could otherwise be used to provide important city services,” Chevron wrote in a statement…
