Community spirit and athletic fervor are set to converge at Veterans Park tomorrow, as the White Settlement Police Department plays host to the Special Olympics Texas Law Enforcement Torch Run. In an announcement made via social media, the White Settlement PD invites one and all to either take part or be a part of the cheering squad at this heartwarming event scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
The run, which invites participation in a one-mile walk or run within the park, offers a chance for community members to show solidarity with Special Olympics athletes.
