Shreveport woman stars in lead role in feature film released Friday

Shreveport stay-at-home mom turned actress has the starring female role in the independent feature film “Sod & Stubble” released on Friday.

The film is based on a book by the same name, written in the 1930s by John Ise – one of twelve children of a pioneer couple in Kansas, Henry and Rosa Ise. “Their life was about persevering, which is one of the reasons why it’s such a beautiful story,” actress Dodie Brown of Shreveport said.
