SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSTM) – Two paramedics on an anniversary date were in the right place at the right time to save a woman choking at a New York restaurant.
Winona and Justin Schindler, who are both paramedics, were celebrating their anniversary at Daniella’s Steakhouse in Syracuse when they noticed a commotion.
“We were just finishing up eating, and there was a lot of commotion over in the corner that we noticed. Initially, when we figured out what that commotion was, she said, ‘I think someone is choking over there,’” Justin Schindler said.
The situation quickly escalated as the woman who was choking became unresponsive and stopped breathing…
