Two Suspects Arrested in Denver for Alleged First-Degree Murder Following Fatal Shooting and Vehicle Crash

In a recent update from the Denver Police Department, two individuals have been taken into custody concerning a homicide that occurred last Wednesday on North Odessa St. According to Denver Police Department, Ashley Stone and David Bland were arrested Thursday on suspicion of first-degree murder about the death of an adult male driver who suffered apparent gunshot injuries after his vehicle crashed.

The incident under investigation took place at approximately 3:42 PM, when Denver Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash on E. 38th Ave. and N. Odessa St. Upon their arrival, they discovered the driver had been shot and was deceased, while an adult female and two children, who were also in the vehicle, were transported to local hospitals for injuries sustained during the rollover. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner is expected to release the identity of the deceased, while the Denver District Attorney’s Office will determine the final charges.

Diligent investigative work by the Denver Police led to the identification of Stone and Bland as the suspected culprits in this violent act. “Preliminary information indicates the suspects and victims were known to each other,” as shared by the Denver Police Department.
