Magic Island earth day cleanup brings divers and families together to protect coral reefs

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – For this year’s Earth Day, dive shops and ocean-loving organizations across Oahu are teaming up with the Ocean Alliance Project for a massive cleanup at Magic Island, one of the island’s most trafficked shorelines.

The event is happening Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and it’s not just for divers—land-based volunteers are critically needed too. Organizers say this is a family-friendly event with something for everyone: cleanup opportunities, community connection, educational booths, giveaways, and gear raffles.
