City of Toledo to host RE-TREE Community Meeting

The city of Toledo is preparing to plant more than 10,000 new trees, and it is asking the community for help.

On April 28, the city will host a meeting at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library’s Main Library to inform the community about where the trees will be planted and how residents can get involved.

The RE-TREE program is a five-year effort by the city to grow its urban forest by 10,748 trees in parks, along streets, and on publicly owned vacant lots…
