Columbia City High School students get first-hand look at National Guard careers for Military Appreciation Day

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WANE) Members of the Air National Guard and the Army National Guard visited Columbia City High School on Monday as part of Military Appreciation Day.

The event featured a Blackhawk helicopter which landed at the school. Approximately fifty students experienced National Guard Careers. Whitley County Consolidated Schools makes it a priority to connect students with career opportunities after high school, and Monday’s event was an example.

Students learned about the various military career options and heard from recruits about how their classroom work has already prepared them for enlistment or money off of college…
