Alaska plans to add three new routes from San Diego starting later this year. With this added service, the carrier says it will serve 44 destinations from the Southern California city with over 90 peak-day departures.
Chicago
Beginning on Oct. 4, the airline will link San Diego and Chicago O’Hare with three times daily service. Flights will be operated by a Boeing 737 series aircraft.
The carrier also plans to end service between Chicago and San Francisco in August . Alaska’s oneworld Alliance partner American connects Chicago and San Diego, along with United.
Denver
Service between San Diego and Denver will start on Oct. 4. Flights will operate three times per day on a mix of 737s and Embraer E175 aircraft.
The airline will go head-to-head with Frontier, Southwest, and United on this route.
