WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The 4-H Club in Udall is getting ready to mark 70 years since a tornado struck the town in 1955.
On May 25, 1955, approximately 80 people were killed when the F5 tornado hit Udall. It’s the deadliest tornado in Kansas history.
The 4-H group is honoring the victims by painting benches around town. They say it’s part of acknowledging just how much was lost when the tornado hit 70 years ago…
