Denver Police Nab ATV Rider Amid Downtown Off-Roading Fiasco, Remind Public of Road Safety Laws

Residents of downtown Denver witnessed a scene straight out of a wild off-roading adventure, but this time, it unfolded in the heart of the city. According to the Denver Police Department, officers put an end to the urban escapade on Saturday, April 12. District 6 Impact officers, on crowd operation duty, were alerted to the reckless maneuvers of a group of motorists tearing through the downtown area on dirt bikes and ATVs.

The DPD’s vigilant eyes trailed these thrill-seekers until they halted in an alley of the 2000 block of Larimer Street. As the police approached, chaos ensued with several riders scattering to evade capture, however, one ATV rider wasn’t so quick to escape. The individual was apprehended, slapped with numerous traffic violations, and ended up in cuffs over an outstanding warrant from a neighboring jurisdiction. Furthermore, the adventure came with a bitter end for the ATV, which found its new temporary home in the impound lot…
