Changes are coming to dozens of California Walmart stores

Walmart plans to remodel 57 stores in California this year, including 11 in the Los Angeles area, the retail giant announced on Wednesday.

Shoppers can expect to see new signage, new displays, and “expanded departments” with new items, officials said in a media release that included photos and renderings.

Walmart’s bakeries, baby, apparel, grocery and home departments are among those slated for makeovers. The company also said pharmacies will soon feature wider aisles and new private screening rooms.

“Our stores often serve as the heartbeat of the communities we operate in, and these remodels are a testament to our dedication to enhancing that role,” said Walmart Sr. Vice President Jay Cordray. “By investing in our stores and associates, we are not only improving the shopping experience but also reinforcing our commitment to being a vital part of the community’s fabric, helping to build a brighter future for all.”…
