Albany men arrested on felony firearm charges after narcotics complaint

Albany, NY — Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple Sr. announced the arrest of two Albany men on felony firearm possession charges following a narcotics complaint.

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at approximately 10:51 AM, members of the Albany County Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort Unit responded to a report of narcotic sales in the area of Central Ave and Colvin Ave in Albany.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that 28-year-old Shareem Jackson and 53-year-old Daniel Jackson were in possession of a loaded gun privately manufactured firearm, commonly known as a “Ghost Gun,” equipped with a high-capacity magazine carrying sixteen rounds of ammunition…
