Judge refuses to increase bail in case of Bakersfield man charged with murder in sister-in-law’s death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man charged with murder in the shooting death of his sister-in-law remains out of custody after a judge denied a motion that sought to hold him on no bail.

The motion, filed by prosecutors after Paul Magallanes was released from jail on $200,000 bail, was denied during a hearing Tuesday.
