Brown University student who sent DOGE-style emails to administrators faces discipline

(WJAR) — Brown University has filed disciplinary charges against a student accused of DOGE-ing the Ivy League Institution.

Back in March, Sophomore Alex Shieh sent an email to nearly 3,800 administrators at Brown, asking them to describe what tasks they performed throughout the week.

The emails seem to mimic those of Elon Musk’s federal DOGE, or Department of Government Efficiency.

In a tweet, Shieh says quote “Brown has filed disciplinary charges against me for my reporting. Tell Brown to protect free speech.” And includes the names and emails of high-ranking university leaders…
