S.F. police arrest Richmond man in suspected fencing operation

San Francisco police arrested a Richmond man who they said was selling merchandise stolen from retail stores.

Ronald Lopez-Rivera, 45, was arrested on April 18 and booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of possession of stolen property, police said Thursday.

Police said investigators became aware of Lopez-Rivera in January, saying he was providing information on suspected stolen bicycles to another fencer, a person who receives stolen goods and resells them for profit. Police said they then began surveilling Lopez-Rivera…
