Prohibition-Themed Bar Coming to Gaslamp Quarter

Mob Bar, a prohibition-themed bar chain with multiple locations across the U.S., including Los Angeles, Pomona, Galveston, Cedar Falls, and Las Vegas, is getting ready to open a new site in San Diego’s Gaslamp District.

The concept was launched in March 2020 and is inspired by the Prohibition era and the Roaring Twenties, featuring 1920s-inspired cocktails and entertainment, including jazz music, burlesque shows, and themed events. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the brand has continued to expand steadily. Each venue is uniquely styled to reflect the era.

Additional locations are currently in development, including one in Chicago’s Wrigleyville. The upcoming Chicago location will feature gangster-themed murals, mob movie posters, a lineup of notorious criminals, and ten televisions showing classic gangster films, such as The Godfather and Goodfellas, after Cubs games…
