Walmart renovates 35 more Louisiana stores, three in Shreveport, Bossier

Walmart says it is putting money into stores in Shreveport, Bossier City, Springhill, West Monroe and across the rest of Louisiana in 2025.

Of the 650 U.S. stores the company plans to remodel this year, 35 are in the state. Those stores will add to some zeros to the $402 million the company has already invested in upgrades around Louisiana over the past five years.

The improvements will focus on upgrading the stores’ look with new signage and new “department store” type displays. Shoppers will find an increased selection with expanded departments and new items.

Online pickup and delivery will expand to meet growing customer orders, and the pharmacy area will be modified with wider aisles and more privacy, especially when checking out…
