Teen charged as adult for DC shooting that left one injured

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — A 17-year-old is being tried as an adult for an April 20 shooting in Southeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Travis Thomas, of Southeast D.C., is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police say officers responded to reports of a shooting at 5:43 p.m. at the 5300 block of Call Place SE.
