The company at the center of the FBI corruption investigation in Oakland also sought business in Berkeley, records obtained by The Oaklandside reveal.
The documents show that Evolutionary Homes, a company that was seeking millions of dollars in contracts to provide housing for homeless people, was in touch with Berkeley Councilmember Ben Bartlett’s office in 2023.
The communications didn’t lead to any deals between Evolutionary Homes and Berkeley. Bartlett and any other Berkeley officials that had contact with Evolutionary Homes have not been accused of any wrongdoing…
