SWAT team response to Milwaukee neighborhood leads to brief standoff with empty pickup truck

A reported shooting led to a SWAT team response to a south side Milwaukee neighborhood and a standoff with an unoccupied pickup truck.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said the incident took place April 25 and began shortly before 2:30 p.m.

Two deputy sheriffs were on a call near South 12th Street and West Harrison Avenue when they saw an occupant of a pickup truck fire several gunshots out of a window toward homes in a “dense residential cluster,” according to the sheriff’s office…
