Local law enforcement agencies are reminding residents to be aware of ongoing scam phone calls in the area. These scam calls involve people claiming to be members of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and demanding payment to avoid an arrest. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office says some of these scam calls have the sheriff’s office number as their caller ID due to spoofing.

The sheriff’s office reminds residents that they will never call and request money from anyone. They also say they would never accept payments with Bitcoin, PayPal, or other similar methods.
