Firefighters respond to 2-alarm fire at Baton Rouge storage facility

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to a large fire at a self-storage facility on Saturday afternoon, Apr. 26, according to officials.

BRFD says the fire began around 3:45 p.m. at Square Space Storage in the 13000 block of South Choctaw Drive. Shortly after crews arrived, a second alarm was initiated for additional units. Building C/D was the only building involved, but officials say the building and contents are likely to be considered a total loss.

No injuries are reported at this time. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
