Family of geese rescued off rooftop of Old Fourth Ward hotel

ATLANTA — A family of Canadian geese recently needed a rescue off an Atlanta hotel rooftop — and it was no easy feat.

CNN reported the episode this week, and spoke to a volunteer with AWARE (Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort) Wildlife Center.

The volunteer, Michael Waters, told CNN that the mother and father geese had been on the rooftop at FORTH hotel in the Old Fourth Ward for a while, and evidently five goslings were then born up there — and had no way of flying away…
