As of Sunday morning, Duke women’s golf alum Lindy Duncan has never won on the LPGA Tour. She could change that in resounding fashion over the next few hours out in Texas.
Duncan will enter the final round of the 2025 Chevron Championship, the first of five major championships in professional women’s golf contested each year, at 8-under-par in solo third place, one stroke behind co-leaders Haeran Ryu and Mao Saigo.
Duncan shot an even-par 72 in Thursday’s opening round to remain well off the pace, but she hurtled up the leaderboard with five birdies in her first nine holes on Friday. She rattled off three more birdies on her closing three holes to finish off a 6-under 66, throwing her square into contention, and she backed that stellar round up with a 2-under 70 on Saturday to keep pace…
