As high and low pressure systems battle it out today in the Northeast, breezy conditions and below average temperatures can be expected. Saturday’s showers and downpours led to a widespread 0.5-1″ of rainfall throughout the region, with some spots seeing a bit more or less.
With low pressure lingering just to the northeast throughout the day, partly to mostly cloudy skies take us through the second half of the day. A few raindrops can’t be ruled out either, especially in Eastern MA closer to the storm’s center of circulation.
Winds are expected to be highest through the mid-afternoon as stronger gusts aloft are mixed down to the surface. We’ll lose this mixing after sunset, meaning winds will be dying down as we head to sleep tonight…
