The state’s pending 2025-27 budget is now getting a comb-out in the Ohio Senate, whose GOP masters will in time unveil their caucus’s policy brainstorms. Details of those ideas won’t surface for a while.
Meanwhile, though, the Ohioans who’ll be expected to pay the tab – that’d be you, Ms. and Mr. Ohio – can get an idea of the GOP-run General Assembly’s obsessions by looking at some curious details of the Ohio House of Representatives’ budget rewrite, passed 60-39 on April 9.
