The Pennsylvania State Police will be stepping up enforcement of seat belt and child passenger restraint laws as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign, which will run from Monday, May 12 through Sunday, June 1, 2025.
State Police officials are reminding motorists that vehicle crashes remain one of the leading causes of death, with many fatalities linked to unbelted drivers and passengers. As part of the campaign, troopers will focus on identifying and addressing violations of the Commonwealth’s seat belt regulations in an effort to reduce injuries and save lives.
To support child passenger safety, PSP Reading, located at 600 Kenhorst Boulevard, will be offering free car seat checks during the campaign. These checks will take place on Monday, May 12 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, May 14 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary for these services…
